Patient Safety Watch Advisory Board Members Announced

Patient Safety Watch is delighted to announce the creation of an Advisory Board and its first members. The Board, made up of leading clinicians, campaigners and experts, will provide input into our research programme and general advice on making our work meaningful for medical professionals and patients alike.

The membership of the Advisory Board is as follows -

  • Professor Dame Clare Gerarda - former Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners

  • Dame Sally Davies – former Chief Medical Officer for England and Chief Scientific Adviser at the Department of Health

  • Professor Sir Bruce Keogh – former Medical Director of the NHS

  • Sir Robert Francis QC – led the inquiry into Mid Staffs

  • Ann Clwyd – former Labour MP and patient safety campaigner

  • Sir Norman Lamb – former Lib Dem MP now Chair of SLAM

  • Jeeves Wijesuriya – former Chair of the BMA junior doctors committee

  • Helene Donnelly – nurse and mid staffs whistle blower

  • Dame Marianne Griffiths - Chief Executive of Western Sussex Hospitals

Patient Safety Watch Trustee Jeremy Hunt said:
